Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has warned the Central government that it will intensify its protest if Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign over the alleged NEET paper leak. The warning comes as both sides prepare for another round of talks to address the ongoing examination controversy and student demands.

CJP National Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said there would be little purpose in continuing discussions if the government refused to act on the party's primary demand. He stated that the organisation would decide its future strategy and adopt a tougher stance if the Centre continued to reject the resignation demand.

CJP Seeks Accountability Over Exam Irregularities

Ranka said the Education Minister must take responsibility for the alleged examination irregularities, arguing that the ministry bears ultimate accountability for the issue.

Reacting to the National Testing Agency's reported dismissal of 47 officials, he said the development would be examined carefully but maintained that administrative action alone was not enough. According to him, broader accountability and comprehensive reforms in the examination system remain essential.

He also confirmed that CJP has submitted a detailed charter of demands to the government covering examination reforms, transparency measures and student welfare.

Centre to Hold Another Round of Talks

The Centre is expected to meet CJP representatives again after holding nearly two hours of discussions during the previous meeting.

Union Minister JP Nadda said the government had received three major demands and five examination reform proposals from CJP. He stated that the government would review the suggestions internally before presenting its response during the next meeting.

The discussions are aimed at finding a mutually acceptable solution to the ongoing dispute over examination irregularities.

Neutral Venue Chosen for Discussions

The latest meeting between government representatives and CJP leaders is being held at Vithalbhai Patel House after the organisation earlier declined invitations to meet at a minister's residence or office.

The government is being represented by Union Minister JP Nadda and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh, while Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka are representing the CJP.

This is the third formal round of discussions between the two sides.

Protest to Continue Until Demands Are Met

CJP has made it clear that its protest at Jantar Mantar will continue until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.

Apart from seeking the minister's resignation, the organisation has demanded:

• Accountability for the alleged NEET paper leak and other examination irregularities.
• Comprehensive reforms in the education and examination system.
• ₹1 crore compensation for families of students who allegedly died by suicide following the NEET controversy.
• Withdrawal of FIRs and legal action against peaceful protesters involved in the movement.

The outcome of Saturday's talks is expected to determine whether negotiations continue or the protest enters a more aggressive phase.
