Jantar Mantar Protest: Centre to Hold Fresh Talks With CJP Leaders as Security Tightened

The Central government is set to hold another round of discussions with leaders of the CJP on Saturday as efforts continue to resolve the ongoing protest over the alleged NEET paper leak.

The meeting is scheduled for 3:30 pm, with Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh representing the government. Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka will attend on behalf of the CJP.

According to officials, the government is expected to respond to the CJP's key demand seeking the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Security Strengthened Around Jantar Mantar

Delhi Police have significantly increased security arrangements around Jantar Mantar ahead of the meeting.

Additional barricades were installed late Friday night, while iron chains have been attached to barricades to prevent protesters from removing or damaging them. Anti-riot vehicles and additional police personnel have also been deployed to maintain law and order.

Authorities are closely monitoring the protest site following recent clashes linked to the demonstrations.

Delhi Metro Closes 18 Stations

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that 18 metro stations across the national capital will remain closed from 7:30 am on Saturday until further notice due to security concerns.

The temporary closure is intended to manage crowds and ensure public safety as large numbers of protesters continue to gather near Jantar Mantar.

Passengers have been advised to check travel updates before beginning their journeys.

Protest Continues Over NEET Paper Leak

The demonstrations have been driven by demands for accountability over the alleged NEET paper leak and other concerns raised by student groups.

The latest talks between the government and CJP leaders are being closely watched, as both sides attempt to find a solution that could ease tensions and bring an end to the ongoing protest.
