NEET Paper Leak Protest Enters Day 32 as Security Tightened Across Delhi

The protest over the alleged NEET paper leak entered its 32nd day on Wednesday, with students and political supporters gathering at Jantar Mantar under tight security arrangements. Delhi Police deployed additional personnel and strengthened barricading across key parts of the national capital to maintain law and order.

Heavy Security Deployed Across Delhi

Security was intensified after clashes during earlier demonstrations left more than 118 police personnel injured and damaged over 20 police vehicles, according to Delhi Police. Authorities have increased surveillance and placed barricades at major intersections around Central Delhi to prevent further unrest.

Students Gather at Jantar Mantar

Large groups of students began assembling at Jantar Mantar, continuing their demand for a fair investigation into the alleged NEET examination irregularities. Protesters are seeking accountability for the alleged paper leak and greater transparency in the examination process.

Opposition Leaders Back the Protest

The ongoing agitation has received support from several opposition leaders. On Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Akhilesh Yadav were removed by police after staging a sit-in outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence, demanding action over the controversy and calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Protest Follows 'Sansad Chalo' Demonstration

The latest developments come after Monday's 'Sansad Chalo' protest, which witnessed police action in Central Delhi. Demonstrators have continued their agitation despite increased security measures, keeping pressure on the government over the alleged examination irregularities.

Authorities Monitor Situation

Delhi Police remain on high alert as crowds continue to gather at Jantar Mantar. Officials have appealed for peaceful demonstrations while maintaining strict security arrangements to prevent violence or disruption in the city.
