Security was intensified after clashes during earlier demonstrations left more than 118 police personnel injured and damaged over 20 police vehicles, according to Delhi Police. On Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Akhilesh Yadav were removed by police after staging a sit-in outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence, demanding action over the controversy and calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
