Central government is scheduled to hold another round of talks with leaders of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Saturday as protests over alleged examination irregularities continue in the national capital.

The meeting comes after several days of demonstrations at Jantar Mantar, where protesters have demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and sweeping reforms to India's examination system.

CJP National Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said the organisation wants a clear response from the government on whether it intends to seek the minister's resignation.

"We need clarity on Dharmendra Pradhan's future. We want a yes or no answer," Ranka said before the scheduled meeting.

Protest Continues Despite Security Restrictions

Thousands of supporters gathered in central Delhi as authorities maintained strict security arrangements around the protest site.

Several metro stations remained closed, while access to the area continued to be restricted. Protesters said the measures would not weaken their movement and vowed to continue demonstrations until their demands are addressed.

The government has also reportedly continued restrictions on mobile internet services around the protest area as part of security measures.

Exam Leak Allegations Fuel Student Movement

The protest movement gained momentum after alleged leaks of question papers for major entrance examinations, including the NEET medical entrance test.

The controversy sparked widespread criticism of the examination system and triggered demands for greater transparency, accountability and reforms.

Student groups argue that the alleged irregularities have affected the careers of millions of candidates and eroded confidence in competitive examinations.

Government Reviews Protesters' Demands

During earlier discussions, Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh met CJP representatives, including Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, to discuss the group's demands.

According to government officials, the talks covered three major demands and several proposals for examination reforms. The Centre is expected to present its response during the latest meeting.

Apart from seeking Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, the protesters have called for:

• Comprehensive reforms in the examination system.
• Greater accountability for alleged examination irregularities.
• Compensation for families affected by the alleged NEET paper leak controversy.
• Withdrawal of legal cases against peaceful protesters.
• Political Pressure Grows

The ongoing demonstrations have drawn support from opposition parties, which have raised the issue during Parliament's Monsoon Session.

The protests have become one of the most prominent youth-led movements in recent years, increasing pressure on the government to address concerns over examination management and transparency.

The outcome of Saturday's discussions is expected to influence whether negotiations continue or the protest movement intensifies further.
