Representatives of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) held a two-hour meeting with Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh on Friday as protests over alleged examination irregularities and the NEET-UG paper leak continued at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.

The discussions focused on the CJP's key demands, including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, compensation for families of students who died by suicide, and protection for peaceful protesters.

CJP Claims Centre Asked for More Time

Following the meeting, CJP national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said the government requested time until Saturday afternoon to consider the demand for Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation.

According to Ranka, the Centre assured the delegation that the demand would be conveyed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi before a final decision is taken.

"We hope the government will remove him soon," Ranka told reporters after the meeting.

Government Positive on Other Demands, Says CJP

The CJP also claimed the government showed a positive approach toward its other demands.

According to the party, the Centre indicated it was open to considering:

Compensation for families of students who died following the NEET paper leak controversy.
No FIRs or legal action against students participating in peaceful protests.

However, there has been no official government confirmation regarding these claims.

Protests Continue Over NEET Paper Leak

The meeting comes as demonstrations continue at Jantar Mantar, where students and supporters are demanding accountability over alleged examination irregularities and reforms to restore trust in the examination system.

The issue has sparked nationwide protests and renewed calls for stronger laws against paper leaks and examination fraud.

Awaiting Government Decision

With the Centre expected to respond by Saturday afternoon, attention remains focused on whether the government will accept the demand for the Education Minister's resignation or announce alternative measures to address the concerns raised by protesters.
