Thousands of students in Jharkhand have launched a large-scale protest over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). The movement has gained momentum as aspirants demand transparency, accountability, and reforms in the state's recruitment system.

Allegations of Examination Irregularities

The protesters allege irregularities in the 14th JPSC Combined Preliminary Examination, the JSSC-CGL examination, and several other recruitment tests conducted in recent years.

Students claim that repeated allegations of paper leaks, irregular evaluation processes, and lack of transparency have damaged confidence in the recruitment system and affected the careers of thousands of job aspirants.

Demand for CBI Investigation

One of the key demands is an independent investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the alleged irregularities.

Many protesters say they have lost confidence in the ongoing state-level inquiry and believe an independent probe would ensure greater transparency and accountability.

Call for Recruitment Reforms

Apart from seeking an investigation, students are demanding reforms to improve fairness in future examinations.

Their demands include:

• Cancellation of the disputed 14th JPSC Preliminary Examination.
• Independent investigation into JPSC and JSSC recruitment processes.
• Strict action against those found responsible for irregularities.
• Introduction of a "Not Attempted" option on OMR answer sheets.
• Greater transparency in recruitment and evaluation.

Protest Continues in Ranchi

Students have been holding an indefinite sit-in at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi. Thousands have also participated in torchlight marches and demonstrations across the city, urging the state government to address their concerns.

Protesters say they will intensify their movement if their demands remain unmet.

Political Support for the Protest

The movement has received support from several public figures and political groups. Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke publicly expressed solidarity with the students, stating that fair recruitment based on merit is essential for protecting the future of young job seekers.
