Mumbai: The investigation into the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has taken a significant turn, with sources cited in media reports claiming that Salman Khan was the original target of the alleged attack. According to the investigation details reported by NDTV on October 21, 2026, the accused allegedly conducted surveillance around Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai before shifting their focus to Shroff. Investigators are examining the movements of the accused, the alleged planning behind the shooting and the information they may have gathered about the actors. According to the report, the attackers reconsidered their initial plan after noticing the security arrangements outside Salman Khan’s residence. The case has raised fresh concerns about the safety of Bollywood celebrities and the potential use of social media posts and local information to track their movements. Police are also investigating the alleged links between the shooting and threats attributed to people associated with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The claims about the original target and the alleged planning are based on information attributed to investigative sources in the report. The full circumstances will depend on the continuing police investigation and evidence gathered in the case.

What Happened in the Tiger Shroff Firing Incident?

According to the report, two men opened fire near Tiger Shroff’s car on a Sunday evening in Mumbai’s Juhu area. The actor had reportedly visited Pushpa Narsee Ground to play football. Investigators said a third alleged accomplice was waiting nearby on a motorcycle. The attackers reportedly fired seven rounds before fleeing the area. Police subsequently traced a motorcycle allegedly used during their escape near Andheri West railway station. The incident triggered a police investigation into the attackers’ identities, their movements before the shooting and the possible motive behind the incident. Officers also began examining how the accused allegedly learned about Shroff’s regular visits to the football ground. The firing incident has drawn attention because of the reported possibility that the actor was selected only after an earlier alleged plan involving another celebrity could not be carried out.

Three Suspects Arrested Within 24 Hours

The accused were identified as Hritik, also known as Roshan, aged 22, from Begusarai in Bihar; Rehan, aged 18, from Sonipat in Haryana; and Phool Singh, aged 18, also from Haryana. According to the report, the suspects allegedly told investigators that they had travelled to Mumbai with the intention of targeting another high-profile individual. Sources identified that person as Salman Khan. Police are investigating the alleged roles of the three suspects, including their movements in Mumbai, how they allegedly obtained firearms and whether other individuals helped with the planning or execution of the attack. The arrests represent an important development in the investigation, but the allegations against the accused remain subject to the legal process.

Why Salman Khan Was Allegedly Considered the First Target

According to sources quoted in the report, the accused allegedly carried out reconnaissance near Salman Khan’s home at Galaxy Apartments before the shooting involving Tiger Shroff. The report suggests that the security arrangements outside Khan’s residence influenced the alleged change in plan. Investigators are examining whether the accused then shifted their attention to celebrities whom they believed had comparatively less protection.
