Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leader Abhijeet Dipke has alleged that people from outside were deliberately brought in to disrupt the ongoing students' protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. He also accused BJP workers of provoking violence during the demonstration.

The allegations come amid heightened tensions at the protest site, where students have been demonstrating for over a month.

Dipke Alleges Attempt to Disrupt Protest

Speaking to reporters, Dipke claimed that the protest had remained peaceful for nearly a month before its recent escalation.

He alleged that outsiders were sent to provoke unrest after the movement gained momentum and accused BJP workers of pelting stones. Dipke also claimed that protesters were being unfairly blamed for the violence.

The BJP had not publicly responded to these allegations at the time of publication.

Claims Over Police Action

Dipke criticised the police response during the protest, describing the reported lathi charge as "very brutal."

He said the party intends to take legal action against the police officers involved and alleged that excessive force had been used against protesters.

Protest and Hunger Strike Continue

According to Dipke, the protest has entered its 34th day, while activist Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike has continued for 26 days.

He said the movement would continue until its demands are met but appealed to Wangchuk to end his hunger strike, expressing concern for his health.

Demand for Education Minister's Resignation

CJP leader Saurav Das described the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as a non-negotiable demand.

Das said he had spoken with Sonam Wangchuk, and both agreed that the protest should remain peaceful. He also alleged that anti-social elements often infiltrate peaceful demonstrations to create unrest and shift blame onto protesters.

The protest organisers have maintained that they intend to continue their agitation until their demands are addressed.
