Teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi described winning his first Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards as a "dream come true" after playing a starring role in India's 3-0 T20I series sweep over Zimbabwe.

The 15-year-old continued his impressive rise in international cricket with another match-winning performance in Harare.

In the third and final T20 International at the Harare Sports Club, Sooryavanshi scored a brilliant 81 runs, helping India post a competitive total and secure a 35-run victory over Zimbabwe.

His innings earned him the Player of the Match award, while his consistent performances throughout the series saw him receive the Player of the Series honour.

Highest Run-Scorer of the Series

Sooryavanshi finished the three-match series with 151 runs, making him the leading run-scorer.

His performances included:

• 50 runs in the opening T20I
• 20 runs in the second match
• 81 runs in the series finale

His contributions gave India strong starts in every match and helped complete a clean sweep.

Speaking after the match, the young batter said receiving both individual awards was a memorable milestone.

"It's truly a dream-come-true moment. Getting my first Man of the Match and Man of the Series awards, I'm very happy."

He explained that his approach remained simple throughout the series.

"I tried to give the team a good start in every match. If I got a good start, I wanted to make the innings bigger."

Harare Brings More Success

Harare has become a special venue for Sooryavanshi.

Earlier this year, he impressed during the Under-19 World Cup, scoring 68 runs in the semifinal before producing a remarkable 175 in the final.

He credited the support of his teammates, captain and coaching staff for helping him settle quickly during the T20I series.

Record-Breaking Achievement

With two scores of fifty or more in the series, Sooryavanshi became the first player in men's international cricket to score multiple 50-plus innings before the age of 16.
