PM Modi Says Selfless Service and Welfare of Others Give Life Its True Purpose

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the true purpose of human life lies in selfless service, compassion and working for the welfare of others.

Sharing a Sanskrit Subhashitam, Modi explained that human beings should dedicate their time, abilities and resources to serving others and contributing to the well-being of society.

He compared this spirit of service with the continuous flow of rivers, saying rivers use their resources selflessly to sustain countless lives before eventually merging with the ocean.

Rivers Offer a Lesson in Service

Modi said the uninterrupted flow of rivers provides an important lesson about how people can use their capabilities for the benefit of humanity.

According to him, rivers do not stop while providing water and sustaining life. Their journey represents dedication and service without expecting anything in return.

He said people can similarly use their skills, knowledge, time and resources to support others and contribute to society.

Service Can Strengthen the Nation

The Prime Minister emphasized that selfless service, dedication and benevolence can provide a new direction to the nation.

He said a society built around compassion and concern for others can contribute to broader social development and collective well-being.

Modi's message focused on the importance of putting individual abilities to constructive use rather than limiting their benefits to personal interests.

Message of Compassion and Welfare

The Sanskrit teaching shared by Modi emphasizes that human life becomes meaningful when people work for the welfare of others.

The message encourages individuals to contribute to society through service and compassion while recognizing their responsibility toward fellow human beings.

Modi said the example of rivers demonstrates how continuous and selfless contribution can sustain life and create wider benefits.

His remarks underlined the importance of service, dedication and collective welfare as values that can guide both individuals and society.
