PM Modi Gives ‘We Will Do It’ Slogan for Developed India by 2047

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a fresh slogan, “We Will Do It”, as he called on the people of India to work together towards the goal of making the country a developed nation by 2047. The message came during the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha’ in New Delhi, where the prime minister reflected on his 25 years at the head of government and outlined a broader vision for India's future. The slogan is being presented as a message of confidence, collective responsibility and determination. PM Modi said India's journey towards becoming a developed country would depend on visionary policies, sustained efforts and the participation of citizens across the country. According to the prime minister, the target of Developed India 2047 is not simply a government objective. He described it as a national aspiration that would require the combined efforts of more than 140 crore Indians.

PM Modi’s ‘We Will Do It’ Message

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi repeatedly used the phrase “We Will Do It” while listing several national ambitions. He said the country would achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat, become one of the world's top economies, strengthen self-reliance, emerge as a major manufacturing centre, host the Olympic Games and make further progress in space exploration. The prime minister's message focused on confidence rather than uncertainty. He said India has the population, talent and ability needed to address the challenges standing in the way of its long-term development. He also stressed that the country's progress should not be viewed through narrow social or political divisions. Instead, development, according to his message, should benefit people across communities and regions.

PM Modi Raises Concern Over Social Division

A major part of the prime minister's address focused on what he described as the division of society along voting lines. He questioned whether basic problems such as lack of water or electricity affect only one caste or community. His argument was that everyday challenges faced by citizens are shared across social groups and therefore require solutions that reach everyone. PM Modi said that when a farmer does not have enough water for the field, the problem does not belong to a particular caste. Similarly, when electricity is unavailable, the resulting darkness does not affect only one community. The broader message was that India's development journey needs to focus on common challenges rather than divisions.

140 Crore Indians and the 2047 Goal

The prime minister also spoke about India's demographic growth and the scale of the opportunity before the country. He noted that India's population was below 40 crore around a century ago, while the country now has more than 140 crore people. He said these citizens collectively have the potential to build a developed India by 2047. This vision is central to India 2047, which is being presented as a long-term national goal covering economic growth, infrastructure, manufacturing, technology, self-reliance and India's position in the global economy. PM Modi expressed confidence that there was no reason for India to stop pursuing higher targets.

From Economic Growth to Global Manufacturing

While speaking about the future, PM Modi listed economic and industrial ambitions that he believes India can achieve. Among them was the objective of becoming one of the world's three largest economies. He also spoke about self-reliance and turning India into a major manufacturing destination. The reference to a Global Manufacturing Hub reflects the broader emphasis on increasing India's production capabilities and strengthening its role in international supply chains. The prime minister connected these ambitions with the larger goal of building a stronger and more capable country by 2047.

India’s Space and Olympic Ambitions

PM Modi also included space exploration and the hosting of the Olympic Games among the country's future ambitions. He presented these goals as examples of the confidence India needs to develop while preparing for the coming decades. The message was that national development should not be limited to economic indicators. It should also include scientific advancement, international sporting achievements, industrial capabilities and India's growing presence in areas of strategic importance.

Captain Smit Machchhar Mentioned in PM Modi’s Speech

During the address, PM Modi referred to Captain Smit Machchhar, an Indian pilot working with flydubai. The prime minister highlighted the pilot's reported actions after his co-pilot attempted to crash an Israel-bound flight. According to the account referred to in the speech, Captain Machchhar continued efforts to prevent the incident despite being stabbed. PM Modi used the example while talking about India's growing capabilities and said that there could come a time when the world would not only talk about Indian pilots but also about aircraft manufactured in India. The reference connected individual achievement with the broader ambition of building India's own advanced industrial and aviation capabilities.

‘140 Crore Solutions’ to India’s Challenges

PM Modi acknowledged that India faces challenges but argued that the country also has an enormous pool of people capable of finding solutions. He described India's population as a source of strength and said the country has more than 140 crore potential solutions to its problems. His message was that development cannot depend solely on government decisions. It also requires citizens, workers, entrepreneurs, professionals, farmers, scientists and young people to contribute to the country's progress. This approach places public participation at the centre of the long-term Viksit Bharat vision.

PM Modi Marks 25 Years at the Head of Government

The event also marked a significant milestone in PM Modi's political journey. He has continuously served as the head of government since October 7, 2001. He first became the chief minister of Gujarat and later became prime minister after leading the BJP to victory in three Lok Sabha elections. Reflecting on the milestone, PM Modi said that when he took oath as Gujarat chief minister on October 7, 2001, he had not imagined that he would reach such a point in his political career. He expressed gratitude to the people of India for placing their trust in him.

‘People Are God’, Says PM Modi

PM Modi also thanked BJP workers, describing them as a source of strength in his political journey. He expressed gratitude to colleagues in the BJP and the NDA, along with those who hold strong faith in democratic institutions. His remarks at the event combined a reflection on his political journey with a forward-looking message about India's development ambitions. The central theme remained the same: India should approach its future with confidence and collective determination.
