PM Modi Says India’s Growth Opens New Opportunities for the World

India and Belgium have agreed to expand cooperation across India GDP Growth, India Belgium Relations, Trade, Defence, Critical Minerals, Clean Energy and advanced technologies following talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever in New Delhi. PM Modi highlighted India’s 7.8% economic growth in the latest quarter, saying the country’s strong performance is creating confidence and opening fresh opportunities for the global economy. He noted that uncertainty caused by conflicts, energy concerns, food security challenges and disrupted supply chains continues to affect countries worldwide.

What did India and Belgium discuss?

The two leaders discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in strategic sectors. Both sides placed particular emphasis on clean energy, reliable supply chains, semiconductor technology and critical minerals. India and Belgium also agreed to increase cooperation in the processing and recycling of critical minerals. According to PM Modi, Belgium’s technological capabilities and India’s large-scale industrial capacity can complement each other in the semiconductor sector.

Peace and Global Stability

PM Modi also reiterated India’s support for resolving conflicts in Ukraine and West Asia through dialogue and diplomacy. He said both countries support international law and efforts aimed at restoring peace. The two nations further reaffirmed their commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms.

Renewable Energy Cooperation

A new renewable-energy agreement is expected to strengthen cooperation between India and Belgium on sustainability and clean-energy development. India and Belgium are expanding cooperation in trade, defence, critical minerals, renewable energy, semiconductors and other advanced technologies. India, Belgium, New Delhi, European Union, global economy, clean energy and technology cooperation.
