CJP Demands Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation Ahead of Key Talks With Centre

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has called for peaceful protests across India, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. The party urged students, youth groups and civil society organisations to join demonstrations while maintaining peace and following local guidelines.

In a post on social media, CJP appealed to student unions and organisations to coordinate with local authorities for permissions and logistics, and to publicly present students' demands during the protests.

CJP Delegation to Meet Centre

A delegation of the CJP is scheduled to meet Union government ministers at 12:30 pm at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi, according to party sources. The meeting comes after the first round of direct discussions between CJP representatives and the central government earlier this week.

The ongoing dialogue follows nearly a month of continuous protests at Jantar Mantar, where demonstrators have been demanding action over the NEET controversy.

Three Key Demands Submitted

The CJP has submitted a memorandum to the Centre listing three major demands:

Resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Release of activist Sonam Wangchuk.
Compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of NEET aspirants who reportedly died during the controversy.

Party leaders have stated that the protest will continue until these demands are addressed.

Sonam Wangchuk Ends 26-Day Hunger Strike

Activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his 26-day hunger strike on Thursday night in the presence of senior Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh.

Following the announcement, the CJP welcomed the development and expressed relief that Wangchuk had ended his fast. However, the party clarified that its protest at Jantar Mantar would continue until the government responds to its remaining demands.

Press Conference Expected Ahead of Talks

The CJP is expected to hold a press conference ahead of its meeting with Union ministers. Party leaders are likely to outline their position before entering negotiations and provide an update after the discussions conclude.

The outcome of today's meeting could influence the future course of the ongoing protest movement surrounding the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak issue.
