BJP Protests Outside AAP Office in Delhi Over Alleged Punjab Paper Leaks

The controversy surrounding the alleged exam paper leaks in Punjab has intensified, reaching the national capital as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a major protest outside the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday. BJP leaders accused the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government of failing to protect the integrity of the state's examination system and demanded a thorough investigation into the alleged scams.

The protest comes amid ongoing political confrontation over multiple alleged paper leaks in Punjab. BJP leaders claimed that several recruitment and board examinations conducted under the AAP government have been compromised, putting the future of thousands of students at risk.

Heavy Police Deployment Outside AAP Headquarters

As BJP workers gathered outside the AAP office in Delhi, Delhi Police deployed a significant number of security personnel to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incident.

The demonstration witnessed BJP leaders raising slogans against the Punjab government and demanding strict action against those responsible for the alleged examination irregularities.

BJP Accuses AAP of Double Standards

The BJP alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party had aggressively criticized the Central Government over the NEET examination controversy and supported protests held at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. However, according to BJP leaders, the same party is now facing serious allegations regarding examination paper leaks in Punjab.

The BJP stated that AAP cannot maintain different standards when similar allegations arise against its own government.

Delhi BJP Chief Harsh Malhotra Leads Protest

The protest was led by Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra, accompanied by Members of Parliament and several senior BJP leaders.

Addressing the gathering, BJP leaders alleged that repeated examination irregularities under the Punjab government have severely affected students preparing for competitive examinations.

They demanded transparency, accountability, and immediate corrective measures from the Punjab government.

Punjab BJP Demands Resignation of Ministers

Earlier in the day, Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon strongly criticized the Bhagwant Mann government over the alleged paper leak cases.

He alleged that despite repeated controversies, the state government has failed to take effective action.

Dhillon demanded the immediate resignation of:

  • Punjab Health Minister
  • Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains

He accused the government of attempting to deny the allegations instead of ensuring a fair investigation.

BJP MPs Continue Protest in Parliament

This is not the first protest over the issue.

Earlier this week, BJP Members of Parliament also staged a protest inside the Parliament premises, demanding the resignation of Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains over the alleged paper leak controversies.

The issue has now become one of the major political flashpoints between the BJP and the AAP.

Shiromani Akali Dal Seeks CBI Investigation

Shiromani Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal has also demanded an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

She alleged that 11 examination-related scams occurred during the AAP government's tenure in Punjab and called for an independent central investigation.

According to the Akali Dal, several major examinations have allegedly been affected, including:

  • Punjab Teacher Eligibility Test (PTET)
  • Class 12 English Examination
  • Pharmacy Officer Recruitment Test
  • Other recruitment examinations

The party claimed that lakhs of students have suffered due to these alleged irregularities.

Congress Also Targets Punjab Government

The Congress party has also attacked the Bhagwant Mann government over the issue.

Congress leaders alleged that at least four examination paper leaks have taken place during the current government's tenure and accused the administration of failing to ensure transparency in recruitment and educational examinations.

Punjab Government Rejects Allegations

The Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has denied all allegations related to paper leaks.

The government maintains that the accusations are politically motivated and has defended its handling of recruitment examinations and educational processes.

No official confirmation has been issued establishing the alleged paper leaks as proven, and the matter continues to remain the subject of political debate and demands for further investigation.

Political Significance

The controversy has now evolved into a national political issue, with opposition parties intensifying pressure on the Punjab government. As demands for resignations and an independent investigation continue, the issue is expected to dominate political discussions in Parliament and Punjab in the coming days.

Whether the matter results in a judicial or central agency investigation remains uncertain, but it has already become one of the most prominent political controversies involving the Punjab government in 2026.
