FIFA has announced the introduction of championship rings for the winners of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking a historic first for the tournament.

The new honour will accompany the traditional FIFA World Cup Trophy and gold medals presented to the champions following Sunday's final between Argentina and Spain.

Thirty Custom Rings for Champions

According to FIFA, 30 customised championship rings will be produced for the winning team's players and management.

Immediately after the final, the winning captain and head coach will receive temporary rings during the trophy presentation ceremony. The permanent customised rings will be prepared later and distributed to the champions.

Each ring will feature the FIFA World Cup Trophy on one side, while the opposite side will display personalised details representing the winning nation.

Limited-Edition Rings for Fans

In addition to the players' rings, FIFA will release 1,996 individually numbered championship rings for supporters.

The limited-edition collection is designed to commemorate the tournament and reflects a championship-ring tradition commonly associated with major sporting events in the United States.
