A major examination cheating racket was exposed in Jaipur, Rajasthan, after police raided a paramedical college and arrested four people, including the college director, for allegedly planning to help students cheat during a back examination in exchange for money.

According to police, a conspiracy had been hatched to allow 45 students to cheat in the examination by accepting bribes with the promise of ensuring they passed their pending paramedical back papers. Acting on specific information, police conducted a raid at the college before the examination could begin, preventing the alleged malpractice.

Following the police action, authorities canceled the examination to maintain the integrity of the assessment process. The cancellation triggered protests among students, with several angry candidates reportedly vandalizing parts of the examination centre.

Police Raid Prevents Alleged Exam Fraud

Investigators said the accused had allegedly organized a systematic plan to help students copy answers during the examination in return for payment.

The raid was carried out before the examination started, allowing police to stop the alleged cheating operation before students entered the examination process.

Officials are now investigating whether similar practices were used during previous examinations.

Four Accused Arrested

Police arrested four people in connection with the alleged cheating racket:

• College Director Ramakrishna Mandiwal
• Devkrishna, nephew of the director
• Head of Department (HoD) Krishna Kumar
• Lecturer Shankarlal Jat

The accused are being questioned, and investigators are examining documents, electronic devices, and other evidence collected during the raid.

Examination Cancelled After Raid

Following the police operation, education authorities canceled the paramedical back examination.

Officials said the decision was taken to ensure fairness and protect the credibility of the examination process. A fresh examination schedule is expected to be announced after the investigation is completed.

Students Protest After Exam Cancellation

The cancellation of the examination led to unrest among some students present at the examination centre.

Police said several angry candidates damaged property inside the exam venue after learning that the examination had been canceled. Security personnel intervened to bring the situation under control.

Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage to identify those involved in the vandalism.

Police are investigating whether more individuals were involved in the alleged cheating network and whether similar malpractice occurred in earlier examinations.
