BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia categorically denied reports that Rohit Sharma is preparing to retire after the Lord's ODI.

Saikia said there has been no discussion with Rohit regarding retirement and emphasized that the experienced batter remains an important member of India's ODI squad.

He added that the Lord's match will not be Rohit Sharma's last international appearance, putting an end to widespread speculation.

No Retirement Intimation Given

Reports also indicate that Rohit Sharma has not informed the BCCI, national selectors or the Indian team management about any plans to retire from international cricket.

Batting Coach Backs Rohit Sharma
