Red Fort Bomb Threat Declared Hoax After Delhi Police Investigation

A bomb threat targeting Delhi's iconic Red Fort triggered a major security response after the Mumbai Police control room received a call warning of an explosion. The information was immediately passed to the Delhi Police control room, which alerted the North District Police to launch a comprehensive investigation.

Security Agencies Conduct Extensive Search

Police teams, along with security personnel, carried out detailed searches in and around the Red Fort to ensure public safety. After thoroughly inspecting the premises, officials confirmed that no explosives or suspicious objects were found.

Delhi Police later declared the threat a hoax, stating that there was no danger to the monument or nearby areas.

Delhi Secretariat and Schools Also Receive Threats

Apart from the Red Fort alert, the Delhi Secretariat also received a bomb threat through an email, prompting another security operation. Teams from the Delhi Fire Service, Delhi Police, and bomb disposal squads searched the premises but found nothing suspicious.

Authorities also responded to bomb threat emails sent to two schools in the national capital. Security agencies conducted precautionary searches at both institutions and confirmed that no explosive devices or suspicious materials were recovered.

NIA Continues Investigation Into Previous Red Fort Blast Case

In a separate development, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has submitted a forensic report related to last year's deadly vehicle-borne bomb blast near the Red Fort. The report has been placed before a special court for further examination.

The investigation into the blast remains ongoing, with multiple accused already chargesheeted. The NIA has also filed a supplementary chargesheet against three additional individuals, including an absconding paediatrician alleged to be linked to the terror module behind the attack.

Authorities Urge Public to Remain Vigilant

Officials emphasized that every bomb threat is treated with utmost seriousness, regardless of its authenticity. Security agencies continue to investigate all such alerts to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.

Authorities have urged citizens to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.
