Lucknow Police Bust Alleged Job Scam Gang Operating from Summit Building

Lucknow Commissionerate Police has achieved a major breakthrough by busting an alleged job fraud racket operating from Summit Building in the Vibhuti Khand police station area. The accused are alleged to have cheated unemployed youth by promising jobs in reputed private companies while collecting large amounts of money under various pretexts.

According to preliminary information, the gang had been running an office from Summit Building and targeted job seekers looking for employment opportunities. They allegedly lured candidates with promises of placements in well-known companies and demanded money in the name of registration fees, processing charges, training fees, documentation costs, and other employment-related expenses.

The action is being viewed as an important step by the Lucknow Commissionerate Police to protect unemployed youth from fraudulent recruitment agencies.

Youth Allegedly Cheated of Thousands to Lakhs of Rupees

Police sources said that several job seekers reportedly paid amounts ranging from thousands to lakhs of rupees after being assured of guaranteed employment. However, despite collecting the money, the accused allegedly failed to provide any jobs to the candidates.

Many victims are believed to have waited for months after completing the so-called recruitment process before realizing they had been cheated. The alleged fraud caused financial losses as well as emotional distress to unemployed youth searching for genuine employment opportunities.

Investigators are now trying to determine the total number of victims and the overall amount of money involved in the alleged scam.

Police Raid Office and Detain Suspects

After receiving information about the alleged fraud, Vibhuti Khand Police conducted a raid at the office operating from Summit Building. During the operation, individuals allegedly linked to the recruitment racket were taken into custody for questioning.

Police also seized important documents, electronic devices, computers, mobile phones, and records related to financial transactions. Officials are examining the evidence to determine how long the alleged operation had been running and whether similar frauds were committed elsewhere.

Authorities are also investigating whether the accused had links with other recruitment agencies or operated similar offices in different locations.

Investigation Underway

Senior police officials stated that a detailed investigation is currently underway. Financial records, bank transactions, digital evidence, and company-related documents are being verified to establish the full extent of the alleged fraud.

Based on the findings of the investigation, appropriate legal action will be taken against those found involved. Police have not yet disclosed the total number of people detained or the exact amount allegedly collected from job seekers.

Officials said additional victims may come forward as the investigation progresses.

Police Issue Advisory for Job Seekers

Following the operation, Lucknow Commissionerate Police urged job seekers to remain cautious while applying for private-sector jobs. Officials advised candidates to verify the registration, authenticity, and credentials of any recruitment agency before paying money for employment opportunities.

Police also warned that genuine companies generally do not demand large payments in exchange for providing jobs. Candidates have been encouraged to verify offers through official company websites and report any suspicious recruitment activities to the nearest police station.

The latest crackdown highlights the growing concern over fake recruitment scams that target unemployed youth by exploiting their search for employment. Authorities have assured that strict legal action will be taken against those involved if the allegations are proven during the investigation.
