Jennifer's Body 2 Moves Closer as Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried Expected to Return

Nearly 17 years after Jennifer's Body became a cult horror classic, a sequel appears to be moving forward. According to recent industry reports, Jennifer's Body 2 is in development, with production expected to begin later this year.

While the studio has not officially announced the project, reports suggest that original stars Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried are expected to return.

Filming Reportedly Set for October 2026

According to a listing by industry publication Production Weekly, filming for Jennifer's Body 2 is expected to begin in Vancouver, Canada, in October 2026.

Although production details remain limited, the listing has fueled excitement among fans who have waited years for a sequel.

Megan Fox Reportedly Returning

Horror publication Dread Central has reported that Megan Fox is expected to reprise her role as Jennifer Check.

However, neither the studio nor the actress has officially confirmed her involvement, and an official cast announcement is still awaited.

Amanda Seyfried Also Expected Back

Reports also indicate that Amanda Seyfried is expected to return as Needy Lesnicki, Jennifer's longtime friend and the film's co-lead.

Fans have long hoped to see the original duo reunite following the movie's growing popularity over the past decade.

From Box Office Disappointment to Cult Classic

Released in 2009, Jennifer's Body was directed by Karyn Kusama and written by Diablo Cody.

Although the film underperformed at the box office upon release, it gradually developed a devoted fan following, particularly among horror enthusiasts and LGBTQ+ audiences, becoming one of the genre's most celebrated cult classics.

Official Announcement Still Awaited

Despite multiple industry reports, the production studio has not officially confirmed the sequel, its cast, release date or storyline.
