The makers of Haiwaan, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, have officially announced the film’s theatrical release date. Directed by Priyadarshan, the much-awaited action thriller is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on September 11, 2026.

The announcement has generated excitement among movie lovers, as the film marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan on the big screen after nearly two decades.

Official Release Date Announced

Production house KVN Productions shared the release date through its official social media handles with the caption:

"One obsession. One relentless pursuit. One date you'll want to remember. #Haiwaan – A Priyadarshan Film starring Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. In cinemas 11th September 2026."

The announcement confirmed that the action-packed entertainer will be released worldwide in theatres.

Akshay and Saif Reunite After 18 Years

One of the biggest highlights of Haiwaan is the return of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan as co-stars.

The duo was last seen together in the 2008 film Tashan, and fans have been eagerly waiting to watch them share screen space once again.

The film is being produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under the banners of KVN Productions and Thespian Films.

Film Went on Floors in 2025

Production for Haiwaan officially began on August 23, 2025.

Director Priyadarshan had announced the start of filming by sharing photographs from the traditional pooja ceremony along with Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.

Since then, the project has remained one of the most anticipated Bollywood releases of 2026.

Box Office Competition Awaits

The action thriller will enter theatres during a busy release period.

Yash's much-awaited action film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is expected to still be running in cinemas after its release in late August.

Meanwhile, Mirzapur: The Movie, starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyenndu, is also scheduled to release shortly before Haiwaan, setting up an interesting box office competition.

Recent Projects of the Lead Stars
